that's more expensive that it is in the US, therefore THB is "overpriced"
The BigMac menu is 4.20 USD inline with other European countries,
Thailand is not cheap anymore, even for locals

True - but for an additional THB 20 you could have it delivered to your house....try that in the US.
^ some places they no longer deliver or charge 30 THB for it
the exchange rate has made Thailand more expensive
so what?
You would think, especially in the tourist areas, that they could employ people that could actually take an order correctly in English or Thai.Originally Posted by Butterfly
30 baht can buy a burger from a stall which is better than McShit could ever conceive or is that not the point?![]()
I checked the McDonalds in Pattaya near WS. 82 baht I believe. That is NOT cheap. Maybe if you live in Norway or Switzerland that sounds cheap. Not to me.
I remember a while ago in the US you could still get a double cheeseburger for $1.
Oh and ever checked the prices for Burger King whoppers here? GEEEZUS! It's way cheaper in the US for those things.
the BigMac here are quite good and fresh actually, at least in Bangkok
far better than the shit for 30 THB made in 711
^ good and fresh reconstituted meat
lovely; I would have thought that you would not touch shit like that BF
that is why those customers are whoppers tooOriginally Posted by meat
Flipper girl works nights on hotel reception in Patong so I took her a McChicken burger (her favourite) every night after I had finished boozing.
Only 73 baht. What is wrong with that. Less than half the price of aussie McChicken burger. Who said romance is dead eh?![]()

Food isn't really filling and we're hungry shortly after.
Loaded with sugar and sodium, and the rest of what's in it, I don't wanna know.
quite right Barbara
I see you are back posting on Ajarn again
did they vote to let you back, or is someone else using your nik?
khao man gai or phad khaprao gai for 25 bahts, and retards are going for a Big Mac.![]()
Thai food is great, well certain dishes at least. I don't personally partake of MacShite but don't see anything wrong with someone getting their fix if that's what they want to do.
Got that right Milky. Give me a nice bowl of kway teeow lat nat or a bowl of jok like if it's breakfast. You like all that McDonald's crap butters, you'll be as big as those 'Merkins you bang on about.
Do like the Kentucky Friedl over here tho - the chicken is not greasy and has a nice spicy taste to it not like that crap in the States.
A Deplorable Bitter Clinger
macdonalds is ok for their chips (french fries), they may be 99% salt, but in this climate you need a bit of salt. the fishburger isnt too bad either.
having seen videos of the machines they use to scrape and liquidize the chicken and meat from the bones and the sticky glop that squirts out of the nozzle at the end, i cant bring myself to eat meat or chicken there. i havent seen any fish videos, so the fish is still ok and doesnt fill me with nausea.
the only macdonalds i use is the one in robinsons in bangkok sukhumvit, its a good air conditioned break from my patrols up and down sukhumvit when visiting the capital.
they have newspapers there and a usable karsey too.
its also good for people watching, 10 minutes in there and any fading prejudices i may have about indians and arabs are quickly reinforced as i watch them stuff their faces, abuse the staff and never clear their tables.
no shortage of thais eating there, but for sukhumvit thais its probably very cheap.
100b is not expensive for 40 minutes of great entertainment and a snack.
Anybody want to guess what a McD franchise costs in Thailand? Ever seen a McD shop close in Thailand?
People can argue all they want about the quality of the food, but I sure wish that I had enough money to setup a McD here in Thailand.
compared to the pretentious bilge served up by arrogant staff in most french restaurants, a french macdonalds, even if it is horsemeat, is probably good quality.I saw the same thing in France, places were the Bigmac are actually of good quality
