He used to really piss me off on ajarn but then when he came here he seemed to mellow out a bit . I disliked him alot less... 1,000 posts in a month and now nothing???

Thanks for your kind thoughts - they are very much appreciated, MD.

A lot has been happening in my life over the past few weeks & I've had very little time for much posting. I was head-hunted by a techno-guru out of New York & this has set a few changes going. Due to the opening of the new airport, & the excessive noise levels, I moved my family back up-country, & I've taken up a small apartment in BKK so that I can be more flexible with future arrangements.

At the same time, I'm still trying to move the PhD research along at a reasonable pace & this means reading tomes of academic material. It is possible that I'll extend the studies for the good of an academic visa - useful in these trying times.

I literally set up my local internet connection around 3 hours ago - & so I'm back - albeit in diminished capacity.

BTW, the South African population stemming from Afrikaaner stock supposedly has around 6% indigenous blood in their veins. Thankfully I can claim 100% traceability to European stock - no tar-brush at work.

Precisely because that is exactly what happened - out of the blue. In my field, one doesn't generally just 'get offered a job'. Consultants tend to work things a little differently.

Perhaps you would not be aware of the intricacies of such deals. Anyway, at least now you know.
