My wifes phone has suddenly started flashing up the 3G logo.
I thought it was a fault, but someone told me that AIS and DTAC are tialling 3G.
I know nothing about this stuff....is it true?
Is there another 3G option?

My phone doesn't have it flashing up yet.
If its flashing maybe its just searching for a 3G signal rather than connected?
Like their gonna test it in Nakhon Nowhere.
I didn't mean it was physically flashing, it is just on.

There is the coverage and info from AIS. 3G seems to be 'live'.
Korat, Chonburi, Hua Hin and Chiang Mai seem to have coverage?
TRUE has 3G coverage in Bangkok.
But we all must be imagining it as no 3G licenses have been issued yet....![]()
My AIS has it here in CM. I just bought the phone and was wondering about that, it says it right there next to the signal bars.....
It's all very exciting.
4th largest city in Thailand is hardly Nakhon Nowhere. We're even got an international airport!!Originally Posted by Bobcock

I turn it off on my phone seems to do feck all but drain the battery quicker!
I wonder why Thailand still bothers with 3G when they just start it now instead of skipping it and going directly to LTE/4G.
I can confirm Bobcock, my phone was picking up 3G on AIS in Bangkok this weekend.
I guess you were looking at your phone a lot more whilst the rugby was on?
Ha, ha. Well there wasn't much worth watching on the TV during those 80 mins, thank goodness for mobile internet!![]()
