    UK Ambassador to Thailand

I see we have a new one:

    Mr Asif Anwar Ahmad

I arrived in Bangkok in November 2010. Over the last 7 years, I have travelled frequently to Thailand, firstly as Director Asia for UK Trade and Investment and more recently as Head of South East Asia and Pacific Group.

My first visit to Thailand was in 1967, when as an 11 year old boy, I was fascinated by the culture and scenery of Thailand. As an adult, I have spent a number of memorable holidays in Thailand, which is a destination for more than 850,000 British citizens a year. Most holiday makers go home with warm memories and souvenirs. A few fall into difficulties and our job is to try and ensure that travellers take sensible steps to avoid preventable problems and those who need the help of the embassy, get a good standard of service.
You, sir, are a God among men....
Short Men, who aren't terribly bright....
More like dwarves with learning disabilities....
You are a God among Dwarves With Learning Disabilities.

^Actually I should ammend that, don't like the bit when they tow them out to sea in engineless boats so they can die, thats a tad harsh, but apart from that their policies seem quite good on that front.

Last time I went to the states they said I fitted the profile so had to go thru the special search, got to admit i thought they were going to stick their fingers up my bum, just a normal pat down though, he didn't even play with my knob, but this guy, he's got the beard, the name, the suntan, bet if he didn't have a diplomats passports he would be anally invaded every where he went.

Now, to us Brits this is 'normal' (not the anal searches... that's normal/prefered for/by Canadians/FrancoBelgiques...), but my Thai work mates are shocked. I don't know who is right or wrong, & I'm not judging (), but it seems that we have lost our nation...

Yeh, he quit and went off to market beer Chang in Europe and the US. Must have been offered a few quid.

This new bloke used to work for Nat West before he got in to this diplomatic gig.
