I really do sympathize with The British, my generation have seen the once proud British empire dwindle away to a mere handful of ex colonies, a proud tradition of excellence in Engineering reduced to importing from Asia and Europe. When I was a boy living in the colonies, all our manufactured needs originated from Britain, from Kenwood cake mixers to Morris minors.

Now thru ineptitude and complacence their once world leading car industry is sold off to producers far more able to meet current customers demands.
When one meets a Brit out here the first point of discussion is when will the pound recover ?. They can not get over that the strong pound belongs to a bygone era.

The country that has so far produced more inventions than any other, just keeps on giving their competitive edge of innovation away by failing to capitilise on the products it invents. The digital audio player is one of many British inventions now making big money for those skilled in bringing it to mass consumer appeal.

Poor old GB, it now has to be content with income from a bunch of over paid London Metro men in financial services, together with the other big earner, a gaggle of rag head tourists gathered around the gates of Buck palace hoping to catch a glimpse of a faded and dysfunctional royal family.

whats the future for GB? as much as they like to think so they aren't really in that big joke club, the EEC. They just exist to provide some funding to keep the Spaniards and Greeks in Luxury. As for the future, what do you think?
Looks Bleak to me.
