A day out with the Thai police

OK, this was last year but still a bit unusual, so off we go to a party in Jomtien, we do a drive by of the party and stop up the road facing the party, now this all seems ok by me, hell it is a nice party we are going to, so there we are about 100meters up the road from the party and the 2 police get out there guns and make sure they are ok, we got some Thai guy in the middle of the road at the party, I mention to them that drunken farangs carrying a gun aint really a good idea, cos otherwise I would have been arrested for killing about 100 Pattaya taxi driving scum already, so we got us sitting in this car and some Thai guy down the road standing there, and everybody playing with their guns now this was the time that I really thought that I didn't want to go to this party, I got 2 Thai Police checking their guns and some guy standing in the middle of the road looking a bit hard, so the odds are he is carrying, I have to admit my questions were like, erm, what the fok are we doing, and this probably aint good for a farang to get involved with, they just ignored me obviously.

We hit the party and the Thai man in the street was very polite, must have had a big gun, things quitened down for a while but then livened up again when they realised nobody was gonna be shot, now I dont let them involve me in shite like this, well most times anyway

I have spent an evening with the police in Southend i.e. driving around in one of their vans to see how they tackle incidents. Not exactly a Thai connection but I'll relate if anyone cares.

I don't see what the problem is. Apart from there being only one full stop ("period" to you yanks) in the whole post. Just insert your own and take a breath - makes perfect sense then.

Ok it may need a bit more explaining, when your checking a building you drive by it, you don't stop and look as that makes it obvious, so drive by it, the first time anyway, so we gone 100 meters up the road, do a U turn and stop, that way you aint suspicious to the building or those that maybe in it stealing everything you own, anyway this was the time they got there guns out, now most people i know shouldn't be trusted with a catapult let alone a gun, but there they are checking their guns, hmmm, and me sitting in the back, now what would you think? This aint a party you would want to goto I should imagine, now I don't carry my gun as I couldn't be trusted with one, although it could quite quickly solve the scumbag taxi drivers we have here problem, Charles Bronsan irradicates Thai taxi scum film might prove quite popular though, so anyway there I am sitting in the back of a car, two Thai police in the front playing with their guns, and some big guy standing in the middle of the road about 100 meters down, this weren't the sort of situation I wanted to be in, hell one of the guys cant even get an American Visa cos of the stuff he done before, Americans take fraud so seriously and he was only looking after the fake money, and yes that is one of the policeman....

The one guy is strictly straight and law abiding, the other guy is, erm, erm, a bit of a erm, renegade, guess which one is rich, nope it aint the straight one, I used to sort of open buildings for them so they could have a little looksee sort of thing, well we actually broke into the buildings to check for dead bodies, but there boss didn't like that and now the laws have changed, I should mention that dead people have a real deoderant problem, they dont smell nice.
