    Mass Idiocy

There is currently some crap on the telly about Thai's at the Temples being possessed by demon's and stuff. You know, when big groups of them act like Monkeys and Tigers and stuff.

How so many people can act like such fucking idiots at the same time is beyond me!

Similarly with the evangelists and their 'Speaking in tongues' crap when they cure people. I mean all of those people in one place and all of them buying it? WTF?

Surely, somebody, somewhere, sometimes must stand up and say: "Hang, this is bollocks. I ain't going to act like a fooking monkey because this is all crap", "You all look like a bunch of fucking idiots"

Don't really know where I am going with this, just sort of thinking out loud!.......

Something we all should agree upon....not one human culture/society/civilisation is {or has been} immune from easy suggestion and manipulation from social engineers, regardless of how they appear. Belief. DNA intuitive.

I don't believe in anything without seeing some sort of supporting evidence first.

I'm an agnostic like you moonraker.

Some people are just plain gullible and unable to think for themselves

Some are brainwashed from an early age

    Some are just plain thick

I was in a pub in england one night and they had a hypnotist

He picked about 10 people from random, Not me, although I was right in front of him and he had them barking like dogs and taking most of their clothes off doing various nutty things.

I still don't understand how he did it or if he can read people simply by looking at them.

Or did he bring them along?

Probably. Just like I reckon most psychics that do big shows bung a few people a tenner to get up & play along with Aunty Vi giving them a message about the missing necklace.

Don't get me wrong, I believe that a very small (extremely tiny) minority of people can do inexplicable things. Most of them are out & out charlatans preying on those who wish to believe, though.

I am one person who does not wish to be hypnotised & as a result, I can't be hypnotised. Actually, even if I am 'open' to hypnosis, I still can't be hypnotised.

    Why?

I simply don't BELIEVE this hypnosis crap. Those who believe in it, are SHEEP!

A sad fact is that about 80% of the world's population are SHEEP...the remaining 20% either keep the world functioning and/or 'rip off' (take advantage of) the complete imbeciles (80%).

A long time ago, those who were 'smart' quickly learnt that 'religion' could be used as a tool to rule & control the masses. Amazingly, this tyrannical principal is happily embraced by millions in this day & age...with promises of happiness after death.

Hypnosis is simply another way to control numbskulls except that hypnosis can be humiliating. Strangely, the idiots who happily choose to be hypnotised, are also seemingly unaware of the humiliation they subject themselves to.
    Idiots! I'm surrounded by idiots!

so right; would be 2yrs ago now I accompanied a woman (US-educated Taiwanese) to her church, one of these new-age ones that have sprung up in NZ run by good folks from the USA who have come on a mission to save the heathens . . . for just 10% of one's net income . . . thought I'd walked into a Jerry Springer show . . . they were the talking in tongues people, during the service they had an out you f'ing demon, out! session where an old chap would put his hands on volunteers' shoulders, shake them, say some magic words and they would, one after another, fall back into the arms of the two big blokes standing behind who would gently lower them to the floor, some writhing about, some shaking.

Learned behaviour, I suppose if one just said 'thanks, that feels better' or 'your breath stinks' they'd have been burnt at the stake.

Hilarious. All I could think of was the final scene from Cape Far where Robert de Niro is jabbering away as he goes under the water. Found the link (below) jibber jabber!

I only went as thought maybe I'd get a shag afterwards, worked for me, once she'd been forgiven for the past week's sinning she was ready to start on some new ones. Soon after though the minister apparently told her I was evil, and it was over. Maybe an exorcism would have helped after all.

Derren Brown is a very very clever guy who can do some incredible things. Not voodoo mumbo jumbo stuff, just science.

He admits himself that a lot of the stuff he does is just illusion and utter crap, he's so good at it though that you can't figure out the crap even though he is telling you it's crap.

Derren Brown - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I can easily discern crap from reality:

    Crap.
    1] Ghosts.
    2] Spirits.
    3] Heaven & Hell.
    4] Luck.
    5] Religion (organised).

    Reality.
    1] Life & Death.
    2] Hearing, seeing etc.
