    Stolen Motorbikes

Last year a friend of ours, Nid, had three motorbikes stolen in quick succession!!

they were all big bikes, really belonging to her boyfriend Mike (now husband); all were carefully locked, one on the road, two inside parking areas with security. They must just have been lifted onto a truck.

anyway, it pissed the guy off so much that he went back to the US with her to make some more money to buy a few more

so, this morning one of our bravest in brown came knocking, looking for Nid

apparently they had found one of the bikes, the biggest, and would like to return it

there is a god of bikes

When I lived in Taipei I had a Kymco Zing ( same as Honda Phantom 150cc - made by the Honda factory there) and had to go to Hong Kong for a week . Left the bike parked up in our private parking slot.
After 3 days my lady phoned and said the bike had been stolen !
Got back and went to our local bar where the landladies son was a policeman .
She said leave it with me !
2 days later her son returned the bike !
The police did a sweep of known bike thieves in the area and found it .

His report on the recovery still makes me smile .
Reason given by the f*ckwit who took it was that he was going to clean it and ask me for cash when I got back.
    Seemed reasonable !
What he couldnt explain was why he had to sell the wheels and the pannier boxes as well !

After a thorough 2 day questioning at the police station he managed to buy the bits back !
