Green or red? It's an electrical appliance

When I first moved to thailand every electrical appliance was green or red, you wanted a fridge it came in green or red, ok green isn't too bad but who the hell wants a red bloody fridge, although I should add that i do have one of each, but what sort of kitchen would you need for a red fridge to fit in?

Fans, ie desk top fans were green or red, I have no idea of how many green and red fans i have owned over the years, luckily they then brought out grey fans, so today i had to buy a new fan for this room, now a fan needs the biggest blades you can get, you want it on slow and moving a real big volume of air, I am now the proud owner of a poxy pink fan, yep, no bloody grey ones

And on the same subject, why does every single electrical appliance the length and breadth of the country carry a silly sticker telling you it scored a maximum of 5 for economical use of electricity. Total bollocks of course, because it means you can't actually tell which product is energy efficient.
Go into a store and ask a salesperson what the sticker means. When he'd done telling you, ask to see the appliances with a one or two star rating and watch him squirm.
