A mate of mine has sent me the following;
my wifes old man has throat cancer and after months of delay has started to get laser treatment. however, to get this treatment he needs to travel about 100KM roundtrip everyday for the next couple of months - This means either going by the local song tow and changing cars every few km or his son taking him, who then has to get up at god knows what time to drive the 90KM from his place to here.
I need my car to take care of the boy for school etc. so it is unworkable.
BUT..... the other brother who is away, has a beat up old Isuzu that I have managed to get up and running, the motor is good, the only thing is, it is being paid for on the " Drip" with Nim See Seng. (who as far as money goes I trust as much as a Thai on Meth)
What I am desperately trying to find out, is if I want to tax and insure a car like this that probably has not been taxed for the past 30 years, to get this years road tax, will they want the past 30 years taxes too, or will they let me simply take it in for a check and allow me to tax it and insure it for this year, without having to repay previous taxes, as the tax is probably more than the car is worth.
Can any one help with advice on this?
Cheers
