    Victory Monument

A brief and inconsequential skirmish with the frogs followed by doing what the Japs told them and lots of subsequent brown nosing which switched to brown nosing of the USA as soon as it looked as if they were going to win the war.

Simply joining sides with the leading team isn't really a victory is it, it's more willful submission. Also, as as with so many things here, the thing itself is copied from many other designs - at least 'Turncoat Obelisk' would have been original by name if not by design.

I can understand that they just wanted any excuse to have a monument - and I do kind of like it, but why does everything here have to be borrowed, copied or stolen?

Would it be fair to add 'creativity' next to 'initiative' to the list of genes the nation is lacking with severity?

Anyway I'm being petty, Thailand is still a great country.

I can't criticise Thais for their war efforts any more than I can take credit for my grandfathers achievements of Jap killing in Burma.

    It's in the past.

Good luck with your Jap shagging

It was an observation having read about it on Wikipedia, so I did a thread on it. It was either this or 'Show us your towels' so fuck off.

And my preference for Japanese ladies has nowt to do with it.

The glorious military and police forces routinely kill many Burmese . . . surely a victory monument will be built for that as well?
