Looks like slight off hand with the first coin. He kept at least one coin in his left hand when he appeared to be giving them all to the guy on his right. He clearly had two fingers still holding the coin or coins.

Here's a clue : The coins are not ordinary....in my opinion at least two are are magnetic, and pop together when jostled together. That's how two become one.
But the hand thru table ? Weird !
