So, the UDD reds are losing

Times and times again, I hear people in this forum saying..."The reds are finished, the reds will be heading home soon, the reds are so and so...". Fine, it's everyones opinion and I have no dispute against it. Facts will soon tell the truth.

Now still remember the time when Abhisat said unless Thaksin returns to face his 2 years jail term, there's nothing to talk about? Still remember Suthep keep saying he's got no interest in talking to Thaksin?

Well, my friends, read the attached report from Bangkok Post...

Suthep: We'll talk, if Thaksin okays it
If there's no justices, where comes the Peace

The facts are that Thaksin has no bargaining chips in any negotiation and every effort the reds made have fallen short of their goals...

Face it, the established power-base in Thailand is as it has always been and will likely never change...

    There is no hope ?

Funny, when I saw all those trucks on Viphapavadi heading to Bangkok,

I thought there was hope ...

    Nothing new there.
Apeshit has always been willing to talk as long as an amnesty for Tacky is not on the agenda

Possibly but he is obviously looked upon as the "authority" by the government.

The government is ready for talks with the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship, particularly its core leader Veera Musikhapong, on the condition that he must first get the green light from former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban said on Wednesday.

    how many did PAD have?

....bunch of spoilt little thai kids who threw a tantrum and were given their way as per the custom.

redshirts may lose this round, but they will not disappear.
abhisit doesn't have the balls to test his mandate (which he never had in the first place) with an election.

mr T was the only one, and still is, that could keep the monkeys under control.
he knows what they want and how to keep the circuis going.
abhisit and his masters are way out of date:
their time has come and the system will change, sooner or later.

sad thing is that without thaksin at the helm, the changeover will probably be violent.

I think the REDS have managed an extremely effective protest there.
Just hope they move away soon and dont get drawn into government dirty tricks, and nothing kicks off .

The junta government , and abi in particular must be feeling very hollow and shallow and ashamed.

The Reds have aquired loads of national and international kudos from this.
The cat is out the bag now.

^I was watching BBC news here in Miami on a PBS station just a bit ago and they aired a short story (maybe 20 seconds) about the bloodletting in Bangkok (what the world is watching). If I didn’t live in Thailand (most of the year) and know some of the things that have been happening there over the past several years, I would think these red shirted people were absolutely crazy.

I understand they are desperate and lacking any real leadership,.but looking at the news event I saw on BBC (as an outsider),….their fvckin’ crazy.

It appears you don't inhabit the same reality as me.

Protest has been lame, bordering on a dismal failure.

The government is the one with the dirty tricks you say? Really?

The government and their backers are probably laughing themselves to sleep every night! Sadly for the red shirts, they've been played and succumbed. Do you really think the elite suffer from such emotions as "very hollow and shallow and ashamed". If you do, then you know sweet FA.

    Kudos you say...unaware of any.

    100% agree with you.

Compared to the yellows, no official building trashed, no violence, they didn't even beat up a journalist.

He felt pity seeing the red-shirts resort to their blood-spilling tactic, because this would only cause the world to believe that some Thai people were still superstitious and followers of black magic.
    They're not?

The blood ritual the red-shirts performed at the Democrat Party head office had hurt the feelings of the Democrats and Government House officials, Mr Suthep said.
I guess they are. If they weren't superstitious and believers in black magic then they would have instead been shocked and disgusted.
