It's just the picture/pixel size setting. 16:9 or something like that,
although that does look much wider than any settings I've got.
Great for taking pics to put in your digi picture frames or for use as wallpaper. ;)
^ Not quite Rob ,,, its my first go at photo stitching ,, ST will be in slumberland now but no doubt will take a peak tomorrow :)
I am quite pleased with the results 3 pictures into one ,, I know you should use a tripod really but I supported my camera on a bench , used my frame levels in my screen to help me , then just overlapped each frame by about 30% as I panned around. Then got it into Photoshop repositioned it all then of course with 3 pics I had a large file , so resized it down to put on here :)
I have also done an edited version of this same pic , looks like an illuminated from above with lights in the sky at night pic ,, mabe a bit far out for on here :)
Ah yes... brilliant job.
Too far out for TD? Never! Let's have a look ;)

I downloaded Photoshop a while ago , but the whole prog looks too intimidating.
Without reading the instructions ,and that's not going to happen
I put your photo through my Easy HDR Pro prog
It LDR it and 100 % tone mapped it -what ever they are
then i messed about with a colour graph,
eventually I noticed a special ''Yorshire-isation '' filter,
promising to replace Constables hay fields with rich heather, and also rusty docks with lofty pit 'eds.
apologies for the butchery in advance...

looks like you used the acid filter
Far out... reminds me of that time I overdone it at Santa Pod

Have to say that most quick post processing software is as subtle as a poke in the eye.. can't beat Photoshop for quality results.. although the learning curve was far too steep for me. I just use them for straightening and cropping and hope the camera settings do their bit.
Perhaps if Bobcock or KW happen by they can explain that highlighting trick using layers, or perhaps point us to the thread. I'm sure it was one of Bobcocks pictures, a monkey in a dark temple room with it's face highlighted that was used to demonstrate it.
I could hear the races from my old house.Quote:

Match Of The Day
It's the FA Cup final played out on Scarborough beach in England .
my excuses in advance - I only managed to get a few shots of the action , rather than the 500 I would need to narrow them down to a few good ones. ....
I always forget about the cameras burst mode too
Anyway here are the goalkeepers :
playing in the left nets a man who looks like most of us feel first thing in the morning;
but don't be fooled , this man is a trained acrobat.
likes plastic spades for goalposts
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...4504/1-qpr.jpg
and to our right the other keeper,
strengths : youth , athleticism , and the fact he's not desperate for a pint right now
Weakness - ginger hair, but at least this one can keep his shoe laces tied .........
For goalposts, more of a rock pool fishing net man

Right lets zoom back and look at the respective defenders
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...4504/3-qpr.jpg
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...4504/4-qpr.jpg
here are the midfielders
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...4504/5-qpr.jpg
Looks like the goalkeeper fancies a go at been centre forward
Think the spade goalies committed too early ..
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...4504/6-qpr.jpg
It's getting hard work keeping that goal now ,and here comes the striker again,
note that's not the match ball above his head , just a giant ball in the distance getting in the way..

They think it's all over over -
it is now, despite protests from the others
these lads call refreshment time .

guess they earned it !
ok so it is all done within the camera? I probably used the incorrect term of "panoramic" when in reality it is 2 or 3 separate shots "stitched" together within the software of the camera. thanks baldrick, I think I got it now and it might even be so that the wife has that feature on her camera. I'm gonna go check it out.
Thanks for reminding me why I need to cross that one off me holiday list Bluey .
Do those pikeys use the official park or just use a lay by ?
^You've not lived until you have survived the seagulls when eating fish and chips on the harbour wall at Scarborough. The temple monkeys in Thailand are amateurs in comparison.
^ Used to mate ,, had many a night out there in the past ,, we used to load those God awful Lada's a bit up the coast from there , used to stay there on the way back , think there is one of those cliff lift things there to.
Bridlington was a better night out though as was Whitby :)
Ah memories
Always puts me in mind of of the Stuka`s in WW2.

This year has been a complete wash out, so far as agricultural shows are concerned. Yesterday was an exception to that rule, so we headed off to Emley show.

^ The joust ones reminded me - any one watching "Full metal Jousting"? Bloody awesome....
The royal armouries in Leeds puts on some great jousting shows, as does Warwick castle, and Leeds castle in Kent. Not only do they put on a spectacular show, but, the armour is magnificent.
Fantastic first 2 pics of the bulls Asta
Thanks Nigel. Dexter, and Hereford I think.
Today between the showers we managed a trip out to Heybridge Basin

'Once more unto the breach'
Good job the sun did shine for awhile.
Theres something about water shots like the one above, that are quite calming, and soothing.
We are very fortunate here Asta ,, I think I am correct in saying we are lucky enough to have the biggest area of coastline in our County
