Give 'Jim Thompson's Farm' a miss in my opinion.
Nothing to do with the exertion of hauling your decrepit, bulbous mass up a mountain, right? At least tell us you made it as far as the top of the little staircase though - that's covered to protect you from the "rain".Quote:

Home for xmas......Jan and my daughter, Sandra.
St.Stephens Green west, DUBLIN :)
No pressure to spend at all really. Not much there to buy. As for the kids it was new so they enjoyed the kids activities. The place is a working farm. A few, hands on, farm animals wouldn't have gone a miss. In fact from there we went to Korat zoo. A much better attraction. Unfortunately I left my camera in the car.Quote:

About 10km from the nearest village I came across this music studio. Abbey Road it ain't but you gotta start somewhere.

I don't know if this a granny flat or what? But it was adjacent to someones house. It's basically a 'Port-a-Cabin' with a steel roof over it. God knows if it has a bog inside? It does have A/C.

Indeed they are Pragmatic. My Mrs went all googoo when she saw the pic of the little Pragmatic-ettes next to the pumpkins in their bonnets and matching frocks.Quote:

Had this bee 'bearding' in front of our house - the estate management estimated the number at roughly 15.000 bees hanging/coming/going.
I thought they'd smoke them into a bag and deposit them in the forest but it seems they just gassed them

Match you with this one. Up in Nong Khai 2 weeks ago. This is a wasp nest, big warning sign to stay away. Killers these are if attacking in mass.

Wasps/Hornets . . . nasty bits of work
Meet Desmond.
He's a farm cat of 22 years. Up until he was 20, he still looked like a lithe and very fit young cat of 10. Often my friend would not feed him so that he would keep the rats and snakes at bay, but he was always well muscled.
Unfortunately his wife died and he then aged rapidly. Now he's a shadow of his former self, but still manages to jump up onto tables, despite being a little blind. His sense of smell is still acute though....the little bugger leapt at a piece of cheese I held near him and tried to fang me. He gets hand-fed every day now....too old to hunt.
Luckily he has Tess the cattle dog to keep him company and lick him. It's quite funny to watch.

^^^ Be careful of catching toxoplasmosis from that sick old cat, (especially as it's a rodent eater) it can cause schitzophrenia and ADHD, and OCD as well as schizophrenia and suicidal traits in humans. 30% of humans are infected.
