Thanks for the demo

You're the cat smoocher, not me pal. :)
My guess is that it has to do with jurisdiction and ownership/maintenance of the roads. The smaller side roads may be the responsibility of the local government, whereas the main roads are the responsibility of another government body.
The local government may only be willing to pay for the pavement up to the edge of where the main road property demarcation is.
Seems quite silly to leave so many roads in that state. There are many of them in the area where I live as well.
The joys of an un-coordinated contract/sub-contract system,...lotsa little bits of work demanding back-handers.
I was taken back by this (?) in the grounds of a temple out in the countryside of Isaan. No houses within the vicinity so fcuk knows why they had this temple there. The temple wasn't anything to write home about but I thought this (?) was.

I wouldnt take my daughter up on one of those. I know of 2 people who died in Penang paragliding and a woman who was caught in the top of a tree near the Rasa Sayang hotel, screaming... for half an hour.Quote:

- On Dec 24, 2010, seven-year-old Rina Aizawa from Japan was playing on the beach when a parasailing rope hooked her neck, lifted her off the ground and dragged her for a short distance. She sustained lacerations on her neck.
- In May 2010, a Jordanian woman had her parachute entangled in a coconut tree near a hotel.
- In June 2010, a drummer with the British samba band Inner Sense, Richard Sliva, fractured his left leg after plunging about 20m to the ground when his parasail failed to open properly.

^ They love it those Arabs and the Japs. i thought paragliding was pretty safe too, until I heard about the woman in the tree:)
There's a kayaking place in Penang too, it's just as you turn right to go up the hill to ferringhi, I went with a mate. the woman there was really safety conscious and mentioned to stay near the beach, put the life jacket on. It's a good 45 minutes of 2 of you paddling to get to this little island. You go past Miami Beach to get to it.
Anyway, as she was mentioning the undercurrents, I jokingly asked if anyone had ever died kayaking there. She said 'yes last year' :)
Hmmm . . . nice. https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2013/07/4098.jpgQuote:

We also did a level two white-water rafting (our eight-year old precluded a higher stage which we'd done a few years ago). That was fun and the guides were quite good, especially in terms of safety.
Still . . . Malaysia is better than Thailand in this regard but far behind places like Singapore, NZ etc...
Haven't see Monty the carpet python for about a year. He used to hang around the house sometimes. I hope this belongs to him as it is 2 metres long.
It has no patterning though. I am not sure if shed snakeskins retain species patterning or not.
If it is not a python then there is a monster eastern brown somewhere on my property.

Monster brown.
And a nice new pair of shiny shoes, if you can catch the fokker with that chainsaw
It's one of those plastic toy chainsaws for legomen, only about an inch long...
Should have left one of his stilettos there for scale
Looper, you are getting a bit slack, your chain is a bit loose.
Those waters look pristine Pseudo. Think I've peed in there.:) Is it chicken Island or one of the 5 Island tour from Ao Nang?
Nice one mate, do a thread. Wanna see more of that posh boat:)
Here is one for ya!

These are the stilettos she uses.
:sexy:
I cannot model them as they are a bit small :(
New chain today. They stretch a bit on the first run.Quote:

Fcuking Thais and their ability to ruin beautiful countryside. In the villages at either end of this road, 11km in length, they have refuse collection bins outside every house. Along with community bins on the main road. But some cnut deliberately drives here to dump his rubbish. All in the same place and all tied up in the same manner. Welcome to Thailand, this is not an isolated case.

Wow. Great pic. Where is that?
^Not Thailand:rolleyes:
People actually do live outside of Thailand..... and do actually live in horrible snowy shity places-
Today where i live - lossa snow blowing everywhere and minus 5 wind factor 10. Try sitting at a bus stop with that and trying to light a cigarette. Buggered. plus i had me gloves on-
But, next week shall be nicer, and we just glow in the Summer...... 34 degrees in July.
All the "arabian" people come here to get away from the heat and pinch bottoms,
