It's Christmas Eve again in Bangkok and as usual the only noticeable difference is a couple of balloons and a pathetic looking tree in the lobby of my apartment building, other than that there's an awful tape of carols played on a relentless loop in Tesco's and Carrefour and there's rumors of a bombing campaign which may start tonight.

I've been asked to take pictures at the opening of a new club and the manager has offered me free entrance and booze which is not much of a carrot considering the place will be full of media acquaintances from the Bangkok social scene whom I have nothing in common with, and I will have to spend the night being kissed on both cheeks by artists, crap tv presenters, models and rich people who don't know what real work is, and after enduring their pretentious "Mwah! Mwah!" they will make small talk and ask how I am and i'll have to make small talk back and they will be looking through me with an insincere smile and nodding but not really listening and then a bomb could go off so I might just stay at home and pull my plonker.

Yeah, I've been to a few of those...they are the most dreary events...better off at home, no bombs...unless your apartment is the one that gets bombed.

Have a (better) nice day tomorrow. A merry christmas to you.

Hey, I thought it was a tad more relaxed in here than normal. The chimpette is noticeable by his absence.

Jandajoy, Willy, you know it is only converatation and BANAL BANTER!! Nothing more! But good luck... we can sing each other more merriments and the like in a week or so!

Don't know about you but I can hear a bottle of Chang SCREAMING to be released from the fridge...apparently it is suffocating... so, being a good citizen, who could leave a drowning man, or a sinking bottle of reasonable beer!

As you get older you realize why you are still alive, and you age and age as years go by, then you see the terrible reality of life, Ant robertson...will he get a Christmas card... I doubt it.

So, Last week, I wrote a letter to President Mugabe of Zimbabwe, and to the Ethiopean Government, (because Ant like his mate Declan -is and likes to sponsor worthless causes)and would you believe it... it was like STARS IN THEIR EYES...the poor starving children of Africa, the dying underfed Ethiopians, the raped negroes of Somalia, have stood back, for once in their lives and recognised, ANT ROBERTSON NEEDS A CHRISTMAS CARD! They reckon it will take a day or two to get there, and best clean it with Dettol, but hey! MERRY Christmas ANT!

Why on earth does a bottle of LEO, about 5% alcholol cost more than a bottle of Chang.. where the Alchohol is 6.8%...something is wrong in the land of smiles!
