Prostitutes Offer Free Climate Summit Sex

Danish sex workers are offering free sex to COP15 in order to defend their industry.



Copenhagen Mayor Ritt Bjerregaard sent postcards to city hotels warning summit guests not to patronize Danish sex workers during the upcoming conference. Now, the prostitutes have struck back, offering free sex to anyone who produces one of the warnings.
Copenhagen's city council in conjunction with Lord Mayor Ritt Bjerregaard sent postcards out to 160 Copenhagen hotels urging COP15 guests and delegates to 'Be sustainable - don't buy sex'.


"Dear hotel owner, we would like to urge you not to arrange contacts between hotel guests and prostitutes," the approach to hotels says. Now, Copenhagen prostitutes are up in arms, saying that the council has no business meddling in their affairs. They have now offered free sex to anyone who can produce one of the offending postcards and their COP15 identity card, according to the Web site avisen.dk.
Discrimination
According to the report, the move has been organized by the Sex Workers Interest Group (SIO).
"This is sheer discrimination. Ritt Bjerregaard is abusing her position as Lord Mayor in using her power to prevent us carrying out our perfectly legal job. I don't understand how she can be allowed to contact people in this way," SIO Spokeswoman Susanne Møller tells avisen.dk.
Møller adds that it is reprehensible and unfair that Copenhagen politicians have chosen to use the UN Climate Summit as a platform for a hetz against sex workers.
"But they've done it and we have to defend ourselves," Møller says.

This is quite funny, the offer is genuine so I guess quite a few delegates will have a good free ride.

The Lord Mayor in question is a woman who by the way in her early political career had her sex scandals living in a so called "free marriage" like in you can fuvck everybody, but now in her older years she wants to criminalise prostitution and criminalise the costumers like they have done in Sweden.

She wont have much luck though and the whole country are laughing at her now, 1-0 to the prostitutes.

Search Helge I cant be arsed to do it, I would have thought that you where old enough to remember that yourself, when she was living on Fyn, but spend most of her time in Copenhagen and in Brussels, she gave interviews that her husband and her had a free marriage and they could have lovers. Remember she is a child of the happy 60's born in 1941.

^^She certainly had her moments, in what some would call scandals. In all honesty, I have never heard of one of the "Sex" kind. And I am old enough to remember her start in politics.
Respected by her followers for her competence and by her opponents for her ruthlessness and arrogance.
Love and hate, I guess.
I'm pretty sure that with the the enemies she has, a nice juicy sexscandal would be frontpage material in a flash.

As a PS:
I remember that Copenhagen some years ago held another UN, EU or whatever meeting, and the organizers put out a magazine containing practical advise for the delegates attending.

It was full of advertizing for various Brothels and Stripbars

That got criticised too. Not easy, is it ?

It was, but not all that much, at the time newspapers left politicians privatelife private, like Jens Otto Kragh that jumped everything that moved, and many more I could mention, but you have to remember that that has never been such a big issue in Denmark, gay politicians lesbians ect. they are all pretty much left alone, even Auken would have gone free if it had not been for his wife that broke the code and where quite outspoken. Apart from Ritt telling it herself it was never really pursued by the press because of the gentleman agreement, they had enough other scandals around her person.

But I can assure you that there was a lot going on, I know it from my family my stepfather was in the Danish parliment, and he was a swine with his privates too, but he told back home about what where going on and who where doing who, I have forgotten most of it but my dear old mother remembers a lot of the juicy stuff.

Thats kind of the way it was in my home town too.
we had a small newspaper weekly edition, and then we had a telephone party line.
You could read in the paper who was doing it to who,, and then when the phone rang, pick it up and you could hear what they were doing.
