    Today on CH7

There was an "incident" last night or yesterday in Bangkok, reported on CH7 news early this morning, when I first saw it, this guy in what looked like a Navy lieutenant, or maybe a captains' uniform, (white shirt, the five star genearal shoulder insignia, and a host of medal tags, dark blue trousers, the works - and a bandaged head to boot!) had been attacked by a knife weilding thug, he had been whacked over the head and assaulted.

It was a bit early, 5 am or whatever when I first saw it, but they re ran it again about 5 minutes later, and again and again and again...and when I was finally awake, I realised he wasn't a naval officer, captain or other wise, he was a fucking BUS DRIVER!

A BUS DRIVER with eppaulettes and medal tags! and apparently he got a kicking for driving like a [at][at][at][at]! From my limited Thai, it appeared NAY! he was Jai Rohn!!! that his bus required people to pay, and the other buses he was racing, were the free buses, hence his rage! (This is probably where he gets medals - beating non paying buses, mowing down pedestrians, knocking cyclists off there bikes, and behaving like a complete [at][at][at][at]. I wonder if maybe the knife weilding thug was not trying to attack him, but merely trying to KNIGHT him for his public service, and he became confused, due to his past Navy Seal training, where he had to jump through a hoop for a fish, oink and clap his front flippers together...twat!

Can anyone, please, please ask your wives and girlfriends/boyfriends, pets, aquaintences....what are the medals and insignia that are awarded to Bangkok bus drivers?

Please, I genuinely would like to know how he earned his massive strip of tags...he had more tags than Rommel and Eisenhower put together for fucks sake!!

as to the medals, do you think he may have been in the military and proud of it?

or do you just want to make some bus driver appear less a wonderful person than yourself?

And would you believe it, despite my busy schedule with grass and shit clearing, I prepared blackberry Jelly, and homemade custard ( 5 egg yolks, vanilla esscense, and milk, then I went on to use the egg whites to whip up a meringue! - I cleaned ALL the dishes too...anyone need a servant?)

And people have the audacity to say I am useless!

Did Abhisit cry when he lost the ball or got kicked in the shins? - like a tantrum?

Only if you don't mince them up with a grass cutter and spatter them in my face!

(Actually, I hear that the Isaan folk can actually COOK these things...it also seems that if you cannot understand how to prepare them "for the pot" they are poisonous!!")

A bit like the Gai Yang from Carrefour!

See, now, I was going to bed early, but now you have got me talking... so to speak, and I now have a great danger of running out of cigs...therefore if I get killed on the road on my bike going to buy a pack, it'll be all YOUR FAULT!

Just out of curiosity, did anyone see that program the other morning.. maybe Tuesday on Thai PBS, where they were eating JAKEP/TAKARP???? they reckon they are full of vitamins...they seem only full of green slime and eggs when I kill them.

I've seen them ( Jakep) put in whisky, but the thought of eating a fried one really turns my stomach! -the missus sometimes barbequed the big ones for the cats.

Nah - you got that all wrong. You previously said you was having a Chang or 5, so if you have had those then jump on your bike and get clobbered it will be your fault for driving whilst under the influence - logic ain't it.

Thank you for the voice of reason! - it will indeed be MY FAULT, no one elses, but hey, let's be careful out there! But I have been here a little while and the lack of self control and lack of responsibility starts to rub off! It is always easier to blame it on Kharma or somebody else!

Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night

    Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on that sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I think they get a medal every year for:

    1. not killing anyone
    2. not damaging other's property
    3. not injuring the passengers
    4. not drinking and driving more than once a week
    5. not stealing money from the bus company
    6. getting the bus back in one piece for 30 days straight
    7. Giving the bus it's annual washing and cleaning

Is that true or are you guessing?

I think they get a nice new colour medal every month if they can get to work on time, then start the engine...or maybe if they can pass the breathalyser.
