What is up with the BTS Silom line??

Used this a few times last year and it was great. Used it last month and it was shit every time. The trains stopped and started between nearly every station and one time it took and hour to get through 7 stations to the end of the line. I can see a bottle neck at Sapan Taksin station because there is only one platform but there must be a better way of running it than the trains all holding each other up and having to wait every couple of minutes. Even make the trains longer, but please do something.

Yes normally the BTS is a great way to get about but, with the addition of the two new stations on the 'West Bank' the Silom Line has slowed down to a crawl. Why? Saphan Taksin has only got one platform (great planning), so trains have to wait in turn each side of the station. The knock effect is that trains all along the line have to slow down so the trains are less frequent, so not only is it slow but the trains are jammed packed. Yesterday during rush hour, trains starting at Wongwian Yai were full to the brim, absolutely no chance for people waiting at the second station along (Krung Thon Buri) to get on.

It was packed yesterday morning at Siam. When I got to the platform there were what looked like a few thousand people and no trains. Then an announcement came that they had 'completed the corrections' and then about 5 mins later a train came. I managed to squeeze onto the 3rd one after that.
