Do kids not type English in England anymore?

Or am I getting old and not as closely tuned into the constant evolution of our language these days? It seems to be moving at an increasingly rapid rate since everyone got the net and sms etc.

Check out this comment on my little cousin's facebook page. She's 12 yrs old and a bright kid, not dyslexic or anything either.

I keep telling her to write in English, but then I feel like a right old bastard moaning about it.

The only word in it spelled properly is 'my' but I guess besauce of taht werid tinhg our mind does of being able to understand the words if the first and last letter is in the correct place it's still understandable.

I occasionally get texts from colleagues and never understand what the fook they're on about.

The thing is, im only 36, and am expected to understand this bile.
