i want to buy some land near my new home that the bank seems desperate to get rid of.

i would like to build another home on it similar to the one i'm living in now that we built last year.
problem being that i can't afford it owing to not having any money.

my only chance is to sell my other house.
with the housing market as crappy as it is, it could be years before i manage to flog the place that i shouldn't have bought a few years back.

i'm wondering if the village company might buy it back off me for a bit less than they are selling new identical houses for.

i'm happy enough to take a bit of a loss.

anyone ever tried doing this?
