    Sheep news

MORE than half of Britons think the countryside is boring — and one in ten could not identify a sheep, a survey found.

A third of people said they had never thought of visiting the countryside.
Researchers also found that 44 per cent of adults could not identify an oak tree.

Sandie Dawe, of VisitBritain, said: “It’s important to remind Brits what they are missing out on.”
You, sir, are a God among men....

One in ten couldn't identify a sheep? By species? Breed? Or given name?

    Given names N.R.?

When I was a kid we ran 5-600 sheep on the moors - they all had given names and I could identify all of them, for example there was -
    This one
    That one
    The one by that bush
The one up there on the hill
The small one next to the one with the black nose
    etc etc

I was never wrong - bloody amazing when you think about, it for a 6 year old !!
