Home remedies or cures for vertigo?

Mrs KW is really dizzy, she doesn't eat much red meat, which I suspect could be part of the problem. But does anyone have some simple home remedies to temporarily help?

    Erm, yep. That's helpful mid

More recently, there’s been debate over which of several repositioning techniques works best. European doctors, for instance, seem to favor the Semont maneuver, Fife said. Others prefer techniques such as the Brandt-Daroff maneuver, one of several alternatives aimed at shifting the calcium crystals.

Even Epley has tried to improve on the physical technique with a device called the Omniax chair, which holds patients in place while it rotates them 360 degrees. Epley received research funding from the National Institutes of Health to study the chair and he expects federal Food and Drug Administration approval of the device soon.
But I was looking for a simple home remedy

“No special chair is needed, no goggles are needed, no special device is needed, just the hands — and the knowledge,” added Fife, who also directs the Balance Center at the Barrow Neurological Institute.

Has Mrs KW seen a doctor? It could be an imbalance in her middle ear. I had a bout of an un-balanced feeling years ago and the doctor gave me either a nazel spray or ear drops, can't remember which, I do remember thinking "This'll never work" but it did.

Did it develop recently, or is it long-term ? If recently, it may well be as The Fresh Prince says : Labyrinthitis, or a slight infection in her inner ear. I got it just before a bout of flu once. It mostly went away after the flu, but a tiny bit remained for a while. As anything with the inner ear is potentially serious, see a doctor.

I had an attack of vertigo once. Everything was spinning around, I had to lie down and I finally vomitted. (and no, it was not alcohol induced)

Saw the doc the next day and he reckoned it was an ear infection so he gave me some antibiotics and some anti-spinny around drugs.

Touch wood it has only happened once, and luckliy I was home at the time.
