Current. (when I get time)

Past, teens to mid 20's

Shotokan Karate, got to brown belt and couldnt keep it up due to work, should have got my black belt.

The wakeboarding was in the present list until I broke my ribs this time last year trying to jump too high off the big ramp after too many beers.!

I have mentioned on TD many times that I don't have a hobby and am jealous of people that do. It is just that I have never found anything that would interest me for longer then 5 minutes.

I used to blow up frogs but I didn't use explosives like Luckydog, I used the traditional straw up the bum pneumatic method.

My only entomological interests were pulling the wings off flies and then either throwing them on a spiders web or leaving them near an ants nest or exploding them with a magnifying glass.

You are allowed to do this even when you are an adult as insects are not vertebrates and so they don't come under any cruelty to animals acts - but you are not allowed to blow up frogs.

I'm having trouble defining what a hobby is.

How about learning a language. With a tutor, expanding vocab.

It's for interesting and also as a semi-necessity.

Is learning a foreign language, a hobby?

I suppose it is, because it's something being done, that isn't related to work.

Since being in China I haven't really had any hobbies except Chasing down Chinese pussy, (That's had to stop since I got married)

Model airplane kit building as a kid.
Archery
Fishing
4 wheel driving
Hiking
Guitar
gym (is that classified as a hobby?)
photography (began as a hobby, went professional)
Flying
Can reading be classed as a 'hobby' or pastime?
Chinese, by the way, consider sleeping a hobby.
I don't think they understand the concept actually.

Making music (digitally)
Drinking beer
Anything IT or multimedia related
Hoarding torrents (music/video)
Online gaming - Poker, RPG's, Golf
Showing people where the 'on' button is on their computers
Being a 'newbie' pain in the arse on TD

Past (we're talking yonks ago here):

BMX
Barrel raiding (stealing beer/cider etc... from barrels kept in the backyards of pubs)
Climbing trees
Making scary arse swings on said trees
Making 'dens'
Brewing beer - tried it for a few months and never managed to make a batch that was palatable

Nowadays:
Cricket, cooking, weights, reading, internet, films, "socialising", making lurve, etc.

Then:
Karate, (semi and full contact circuit), hiking, going to concerts, gigs, festivals, motorcycles and touring, recreational drugs, shagging.
