    A simple bird feeder...

In this photo below you can see a simple bird feeder. As a recently transplanted Thailand/Coloradian I thought it would be nice to show my daughter the native birds of this region.

It worked out great except for one problem. The native deer like to eat grain also.

While Colorado is consider a 'green' state the neighbors are rather upset. You see our small community of about 12,000 people have several deer herds that seem to think that this is their native grazing land.

Now, in my short time of living back in the states, it seems as though I have created a problem.

To remedy this conflict or perhaps to raise the argument, tomorrow I will buy a bale of hay and put this fucking feeding trough in my front yard.

And you TD posters think you have it tough back in Thailand...

hehe. My Ma has the same prob, but it's mostly the squirrel, Geronimo. Lots of deer on her farm. I just put some nuts and bread crusts out on my gate for the twitters that remain. Don't know the names of any of them.
