    Favorite Xmas song

Christmas is just around the corner now and the radio and TV are playing all the various Xmas songs. So which one is your favorite and makes you feel that Xmas has arrived. No doubt there will be a couple of 'Bah Humbug' replies.

Is it the old favorite of 'White Christmas by Bing Crosby', 'Fairytale of New York with the Pogues and Kirsty MacColl', 'Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade' or one of the numerous others around ?

I would say that my own favorite is Merry Christmas Everyone by Shakin Stevens closely followed by Johnny Mathis and Winter Wonderland.

    So what are yours ??

As a kid, we had a Frank Sinatra xmas lp playing all the time = I reckon Ole Blue Eye's 'Santa Claus is coming to town' gets the nod.

Later on, it might a bit gay to say it but i'm chang'd out at the moment, Last Christmas by Wham! gave/gives me a glow. My mate was a mobile disco DJ in the 80's and the I was his 'roadie' or rather the bloke that got the good-looking girl's fat friend. Lots of Christmas kisses in return for playing that song.

Jeff Beck's Hi Ho Silverlining, however is my favourite ditty when in that Christmas 'you're me best *hicup* mate *hic* eva! ah fugin luv ya' party mode.

    Slade, however, can get fukt.

An oldie...."I Sing Noel" by Sandler and Young. Nice message and competent singing. I discovered this ditty while working every fucking Christmas as a deejay at a radio station. Songs like this helped to put it into perspective.

You can't beat Nat "King" Cole's reading of Mel Torme's "Christmas Song."

Well done Chuchok. First song that came to mind when I saw the OP. The video clip is on YouTube as well as a few other rippers like "Frosty The Yobbo" and "Ho Ho Fucking Ho".

I love them all. I play nothing but Christmas songs between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day. I even load up my iPod with nothing but Christmas music. I can't wait to fly to the States next Wednesday with my Christmas music laden iPod.

I must admit though that my favorite Christmas album is the one by Leon Redbone followed closely by Chamolinian.

in the supermarket today they were playing a cover (sounded like a filipino band) of Slades dire Christmas song.

i think listening to someone scrape their fingernails down a blackboard would have been more pleasant.

i put my sausages back in the refrigerated meat section and left empty handed
