    Help- US export ban ?

Sorry if this is on the wrong forum. I've been looking for a baby swing bucket seat for a while now, the kind they have in the US. Obviously I've looked on EbayUS as well as other American sites. For some unexplainable reason every seller I've looked up refuses to sell outside the Continental 48 States. Why is this ?

The Lounge may be better for this OP, as more posters go there. Or, perhaps in the business section.

I am taking a guess (based on my past experiences) that some shipping addresses and ISP addresses in South East Asia get flagged for fraud, and since the shipper/seller assumes the risk, they may not ship to certain countries in South East Asia.

I think you'll get better answers in a different section of the forum.

I tried EBAY a few yuears ago and they would not even talk to me, I started a PAYPAL account and they would not let me use it, they even locked it up and there was or is nothing I can do until I log in on a US ISP and then I can cansel it or what ever I want,
Seems damn funny to me tho as they open it with my using a Thai ISP and then locked it up along with keeping my credit card and personal info, what ever it was that they required to iopen.
Far as I am concerned they are scuzzy motherfuckers and can shove PayPal and Ebay up their ass.

On Ebay all sellers are required to accept Paypal. I have a Paypal account. The goods will be paid for before despatch so there's no chance of fraud on that point. I'm willing to pay postage to Thailand which will give them no more trouble than posting interstate. But nobody seems to want to provide that service. Is it because they distrust people outside of the US ?

But Ebay sellers have that link to their personal credits, like greens and reds. I had a problem with a seller once (My dog ate your cell phone) and he begged me not to "red" him, even sent $20 extra back with the original purchase price. Might be at least one of the reasons.

My experience was a huge tax waiting for me at the local Thai Post. I didn't pay it.
