Do remind me of the world renowned comedies from your part of the world and how many countries they were syndicated in. The chef from the muppets doesn't count, although you do remind me of him on the Ukraine war thread. You make as much sense.

For whatever reason would I start to list comedies from my country, that you wouldn't have a chinamans chance to understand due to culture etc, let alone comedies from the rest of the world, that I wouldn't know of ?

That you can't see for yourself, that your thread title is....a bit off, is kinda tragic, but not unexpected from a simpleminded and uneducated primi like yourself.

In conclusion: Try to hammer in to your dumb aussie brain, that there is actually a world outside your narrow horizon.

    Further more: Piss off

You justifying the Russian side of the war.
I gave you a lenghty answer there, that you didn't have the balls to counter.

You are quite right. I wouldn't understand. I am unsure why the title is "a bit off". Many Brit comedies such as Fawlty towers had a world wide following and people still watch the reruns. At one stage Always look at the bright side of life from Monty Pythons The Life of Brian, was one of the most requested funeral songs in some countries so I think if anyone is a "bit off" it's you.
I do appreciate you struggling with the worlds dominant language which I do realise understandably causes you some resentment and jealousy as anyone that speaks your language is probably no further distant than a second cousin. This does however explain a lot about you.
I can speak four languages but I have avoided learning dead and dying languages that like their countries and people, are mostly irrelevant in the overall scheme of things.
Don't concern yourself with Aussie woman you arent their type, they prefer real men. Anyway, do have a nice day and I hope your talent with languages helps you with your arabic studies which will help you immensely when it becomes your national language.
Oh, BTW, I forgot the other thing you have in common with the Chef. You're both muppets.

Congratulations. I'm sure that you have watched...comedies in all those 4 languages and understood what the fuck they laughed at. It takes more than speaking the language fluently, you know.

    (the 4 languages are ?)

I'm sure you are. I inquired how you would know, that "noone does drama and humour as good as the Brits".

You don't know and how could you know.

You can add "talking out of your ass" as your 5 language.

Take my word for it; you are fluent in that one

This was meant to be about British comedy, as it it is loved by many people around the world, not only the Brits. You could've added Scandi Comedies that you thought were on par, with a link, yet you chose to turn a light hearted thread into a personal attack and shit show.
You are welcome to start a Scandinavian humour thread, although if you are any example it will be as short as a book on "what makes a Scandinavian laugh". You are becoming quite the curmudgeon on TD and in that opinion I am far from alone. Lighten the f%#k up.

N.B. If there are any American Helges out there that feel left out: Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles, Flying high, Support your local Sherriff, The ballad of evil Roy Slade (I nearly pissed myself on that one), just to name a few and IMO the greatest movie of all time, Casablanca.

How surprising as it is my first language. Even ABBA were smart enough to know songs in swedish rather than English would have never given them a world audience.

You must be drunk. You are making no sense at all. Now you are just trolling. I will not reply to your trolling comments again. Rest assured, your witless humour and ad hominem comments are water off a ducks back... Goodbye. I see no point in interacting with you again.

Hugh, glad you mentioned Evil Roy Slade,he was evil through and through.
John Astin as the great Gomez in the Addams Family is still on TV re-runs in OZ.
Mr Slade would of cleaned up Denmark in a afternoon without breaking into a sweat.

And to get a good thread back on track who could forget minder, classic London humour. And for a little bit of darker yet compelling liverpudlian humour the 5 episode series of boys from the blackstuff set in recession hit Britain during the thatcher era

For those who dont know him the driest wittiest UK stand up man and former neighbour of my best friend Jack Dee a really funny show and a really nice guy in real life in Chi!

none of whom compare in my book to Lenny Bruce , Freek de Jonge, Jacques Tai Dieudonne, Gorge Carlinn, Lili Tomlin, Chapelle, Bill Maher, Buster Keaton, Robin William or my favourites the dark political wit of late Bill Hicks or little known today brilliance of Mort Sahl

Thanks to all and our clowns here, I enjoy the usual suspects and get more laughs from SA-Tax tussles than Chris Rock or Benny Hill ever!! sMEG -V-aNTLITE AKA Cy-versus Switch is more like cage fighting but Willy v allcomers and the BLD specials take some beating too.

I wouldn't say the Brits were any funnier than the Yanks.

What is funnier than Airplane, American Pie, Police Academy, Ferris Buellers day off, 911 ?

Agree some great american shows. I forgot Steve Martin and Lili Tomlin in All of me. You could actually believe there were two people in one body. the toilet scene and the court scene comes to mind. Then there was naked Gun. Leslie Neilson. "Nice Beaver"

^Loved the Naked Gun series. Leslie Neilson, funny as fuck. You forgot John Candy back in the day in movies like Planes, Trains and Automobiles with Steve Martin. I also liked Robin Williams when he did his stand up comedy. Eddie Murphy was raw, but funny in his stand up comedies back in the day.

As for Brits, I'd have to say Rowan Atkinson (Blackadder, Mr. Bean and Johnny English) and Ricky Gervais (The office, Life's Too Short etc.)

That would be the Tragedy Channel and only 10 danes (Eriksen did some of what was expected of a national player)

England was better than expected though

Are we going to address the 'drama' part, or not ?
