Thread: How is your local air quality?

As of 2pm, our PM2.5 is 61. My wife is downstairs in her AC room with our mutts. PM 2.5 in that room is 27. I am outdoors in my shop and likely getting lung cancer at twice the speed of my wife.

Fok'd if I know.

History

Usually hovers in the 50s, but sometimes gets much worse. Now, on weekends, I don't pay much attention to it and just go about my life as normal- a still workout, don't bother with a mask (unless sick) and try to get out the small condo. The work week presents the challenge of us not being able to let the children play outside. I get that it is for their own health and safety and support it; I just feel bad that they don't the have the opportunity to burn of energy and engage in free play. LOS really needs to start doing something meaningful about the air quality.

I’ve never thought much about CO2 building up with a closed house. Normally, in the early morning, I open windows and turn on the kitchen exhaust fan to bring in fresh air for a few minutes before it gets hot outside. It raises the indoor PM 2.5 level a small amount, then back to normal. Now I’m wondering how long it take for the CO2 to build back up.

Maybe one of those meters is in order.

My terrace 8am ame in and out , as terrace screen doors ope, I close pm when above my preferred 2 degrees

As of today, it's 28 (PM10) in my area accdg to the 'net.

From central Chanthaburi city this afternoon; we're 15km away and closer to the coast expect we'd be a few points better

The AQI is pretty much always extremely low here where I live, with the exception of the smoke from the wildfires last year.

Man our air quality went to shit in basically 1 day. Outside had been about 25 to 40 on pm2.5 which is pretty much the norm. High pressure and high temps allowed the smoke to come over the mountains from CM into our valley and yesterday by 2pm PM2.5 was 128. Just awful. Wife retreated to downstairs family room area with our dogs in AC. I relocated upstairs to my office. Indoor PM2.5 was 18 with AC on.

Sadly today looks to be much of the same. High Temps and high pressure. I checked PM2.5 in CM and it showed over 200 in numerous areas.

Maybe time to enclose my pool bar area.

I do. Margarita's are an afternoon type bevvie. Bloody Mary's are a stellar morning drink. But I never mix. If it's a Vodka morning, it's a Vodka Afternoon.

I hear ya MK. Just crap and the heat doesn't help. Just looked at my Pm2.5 on my weather station. 87 to start the day but that's because it's cool. That will probably double by 2pm.

I saw those bloody Mary’s of yours on the other thread. Made me go out and buy some tomato juice to make my own. Sadly, no chance to drink one this morning since I will be driving down to Lamphun shortly.
