    Rude not too!

I've taken to boiling up ginger, rosemary and lavender then adding that to the gut rot instead of ice.

I clicked on the link and I couldn't understand the angry lad. The one holding the camera (his friend) - I could somehow get what he said.

I understood almost everything, which isn't always the case for even English people.

Surely you heard him call him a "fucking wankstain" though?

    Cracking insult, by the way.

^I had to listen to it again to catch the effing w*nkstain part. The rest sounded gibberish to me!

Heck, even Stumpy (a Yank) has admitted that he can't understand the Scots!

Really great to read and see about your visit with your great aunt....fooking cool. I'd love to spend a day asking about her experiences....they must be spellbinding.

Nip is a drink measure. Also short for nipples!

Thing is, she's always been a total yap as well. As a kid I always turned up to dinners, functions or parties and made sure I got a seat near to Moira. I think I was 16 last time I saw her.

Defo plan to spend a day with her next time home and I don't see any reason she wont still be around.

After what happened the other night I'm expecting free beers and my name on the 'local's prices' list.

    Explain that later.

    Good thread.

I'm working with a guy named Corey Smyth. He drilled in Thailand and Malaysia for years. Ever heard of him Dirk?

Sounds familiar, I think he worked for Halliburton.

Will update this thread soon when I have time to screenshot all my pics.

We're getting absolutely battered by the weather, other than that it's going pretty well.

    Well, here we go again...

I've not been on The Door much lately as I've been flat out busy working my old job trying to get them in a good place before I quit, which I did near the end of May.

Also busy with school holidays, Visa run to Penang, Langkawi trip, Biking weekend to Betong, Yala, spring cleaning my house and workshop and generally preparing for what could be an extended absence.

So apologies for not replying to PMs, Repos, Emails and Whatsapps. Yet.

So yesterday I flew to KL where my flight was delayed due to lightning storms which hit the airport, missed my connection in Abu Dhabi, resulting in another 6 hour layover (current situation), rebooking my Heathrow connection and now having 4 hours to wait there.

I have a couple of interviews setup for next week so looks like I can now finally (try to)get my ROV career up and running.

I’ve become fond of Kiwi.com for multiple airline bookings.

By the time I’d arrived in Abu Dhabi they had already offered me new flight options from London and Etihad had a new ticket to London waiting for me as I got off the plane.

I had purchased their connection protection for around 3-400b

Just got my head down on a couch for an hour (might have hypothermia) and woke to my alarm saying Go to Gate.

So that’s 1 hour since 6am Thai time yesterday.

Walk in the gate as the guy’s snapping on the clear latex gloves.

JHC, he was thorough. Thought I’d have to spread em and cough at one point.

Bag completely emptied, laptop opened up, everything swabbed - all electric devices, inside of my bag, my watch, shoe laces, socks, inside my pockets.

    I was getting nervous.

    All clear though.

    Next!

Because different airlines, so they can’t put your bag through.
