    12th night epiphany

Saturday 6 January start of Cyrillic Orthocock Christmas and end of the western one when decorations are taken down as immortalised in the carol.

On the twelfth day of clitmas,
my true love gave to me
    Twelve bummers bumming,
    Eleven Toppers pizza topping
    Ten lulus a-leaping,
    Nine beerlaos mincing,
    Eight mendys a-milking,
    Seven spamdreths a-spamming,
    Six Loopas a-laying,
    Five Willy rings,
    Four chitty birds,
    Three muttpack dogs,
    Two turtle Norts,
And a partridge in a Shutree!

I count December 25th as the first night, so today, January 5th is Twelfth Night for me and the decorations are coming down.
My ex insisted that Twelfth Night was Epiphany, January 6th, so I was wrong and the family decorations came down on the 6th. No point to argue at Christmas. That said, the Church of England says it's today, the eve of Epiphany.
