"maintain your lifestyle like me and you will always feel 25 year olds"

According to your grammar, in this case....

What you are actually stating is that your lifestyle always involves feeling 25-year-olds.

    Am I correct?

There is a reason for using proper grammar.

The reason is: The minimization of ambiguity in written utterances...

I have noticed quite a bit of terrible grammar on TD, since my arrival.

Poor grammar does not distress me...however.

    Write anyway you like.

Most of us will be able to decipher your meaning, no matter what kind of creative grammar you choose to use.

You are never too old to start exercising, infact for the elderly it can stave off dementia.

Have had quite physical work for the most part of my life and have now reached the grand old age of 73 and I looked at my arms and I had developed bingo wings. So the first thing I did was change my dietary intake, instead of bacon and eggs with copious amounts of home made bread, changed to overnight oats with berries, the weight started to fall off. Bought an indoor exercise bicycle and some weight lifting gear and those bingo wings have gone and are beginning to muscle up.

Lost 10kg so far and feel less tired but a lot fitter. If in doubt consult a doctor. ️[at]♀️️[at]♂️️

    Eat whe you are hungry.

    Drink wen you are thirsty.

    Sleep when your are tired.

Your body will moderate these actions according to your choices.

Your body knows when it’s time is up.

I'm 81 and gave up smoking 10 years ago. I really don't think I could enjoy lighting up again and start the coughing and wheezing all over again.

6 years for a first post, congrats!

I gave up alcohol 3 months ago, and honestly don't think I'd enjoy drinking a whatever now. Herbal tea is much nicer, soda and lime when out.

I honestly don't even remember joining six years ago, and even my user name of Sunshine Superman doesn't seem familiar.

Walking at least couple of miles a day has done well for both my dad and myself. He had to after a triple bypass 20 odd years ago and it has been very beneficial.

I swim or walk depending on weather and opportunity. Not to stay fit, but to stay healthy. There's a difference. Good to carry a bit of extra weight, just not too much.

You should do light exercise. Any amount will help you. The air ways work better, blood circulation, reduced stress, endorphins released and better sleep. You will feel better at any age.

I prefer sport now. Some badminton. Kick the ball around the village (I just realized you can combine jogging and dribbling a ball into one). A bicycle ride is good. Bang Kra Jao bicycle park is amazing.

We often think of exercise as a month by month or yearly thing, but these small things improve your body on a daily bases.

That is exactly right. I know far to many that eat on a schedule versus when they really need to eat and most eat comfort food which is really bad for you in the big picture. eat when hungry, eat the right foods at the right time of day so you burn calories.

While I am quite a few years off from 70+ but hopefully will get there, the key in health is balance. I know a lot of colleagues who in their late 40's and early 50's that went on crazy weight work out schemes to look fit and in shape. The issue long term is it is not sustainable. Look at all the body builder types. Sure for a few years you look like Hercules but later it is awful flab.

The key IMHO is balance in life. Stay active, You not only need to stay physically active but as Norton said, you have to stay mentally active. Physically can be anything but Bark-O -lounger all the time is not a good idea. Get outside. walk, ride a bike, take a hike. You do not need to go crazy. Nobody needs to do a "Sesh" of 40kms on a bike nor do you need to drink Potpourri poof Teas. Best tool to get is a smart watch and track your activity level. Monitor steps, heart rate activity time.

Yep. Another big factor is genes. Look at mom and dad at 60. Chances are you will follow in their footsteps re physical condition and longivity no matter what you do.

Mother's dad and his 5 brothers all died from cancers. She went through breast cancer in her early 50s. I might as well get a green Big C staff uniform to walk around in.
