Massive whooshing sound. You simply fail to understand what a whopping mess you are as a person. You are a gift to dumb sales patter, because not only are you behind the curve, you haven’t even reached the bend yet. There is gullible and stupid, and behind them is backspin, the useless vacuum. What a banal coont you are.

I beefed it up with a furry Hello Kitty case.

I have the Samsung S22 Ultra (Just got it about 2 weeks ago) Company perk. Had an S20 but I abuse phones as I use them for work and personal and usually I kill the batteries and they start doing weird things.

So far the S22 is OK. Really don't see much in tech improvements from the 20 albeit the camera is a bit better and it has a S pen which I haven't used yet. One thing I didn't like was Samsung dropped the Micro SD card slot for expanded storage so now if you take a lot of high res pics and vids or DL Powerpoints or PDF docs if you get the 128gb tele you will run out of space rather fast. So I got the 512gb.

While I wasn't shopping for deals my lovely coupon cutter wife found all sorts of deals, plus S20 rebate for coughing up the old phone plus a few AIS incentives and the phone cost the company about $750.

As Troy said, These are little computers now. You use them for everything especially all the QR code travel BS and required docs.

This is why its hard to keep a phone for long. Them bastards changing to batteries you can't change and them stopping security updates and adding software to slow your old phone down.

Shit RD, that's the smart phone industries scam. First like you said, they stopped serviceable battery replacement marketing it that it was water resistance now. Like people really cared. Then the constant "Patches", Software update to fix things you do not even care about. And just try and skip their software updates. After 2 or 3 they purposely make it that your phone is buggy so you have to. Pretty soon the thing is slow and because it runs all that crap in the background your battery performance takes a shit. Plus, even worse, when you get any new phone they have all their embedded software you can't delete, only disable but its still there, taking up space.

If these phones lasted as long as they REALLY could, Samsung, Apple and others would have terrible revenue as no one would need to buy. Its like a drug, they have everyone hooked now.

You just have to plan ahead, my 8 year old Samsung is a bit like my old 14 year old dog, it was willing but just took time to get going.

I have a S7. I basically gutted it and use it as a MP3 player BT set up to an external speaker. Works GREAT. No Sim card, Wifi disabled. Battery charge last weeks.

Back to batteries. Have you also noticed that if your phone is working great and the battery performance drops off you take it to a shop thinking "OK, I will just have a new battery installed" The service cost + battery cost is almost more than a new phone.

    Its a GREAT market.

I got the non-removable battery on my Samsung S10 replaced at the Samsung service centre in Korat.

I can't remember exactly, less than 1000 baht I think, but I'll see if I can find the receipt. Whatever it was, it was obviously very much cheaper than getting a new phone.

Nah its only 60 quid here in the UK to send away and get them to replace Nevs s10
The batteries themselves only cost about 800 baht.

I know you can use the s8 as a WiFi extender, not sure about s7, if you wanna find another use for it.Probably be as slow as the old un-updated software though

On Vibrate your Mrs might find a use for it but again i'm not sure about battery longevity and you'd need another phone to phone your phone which might kill the moment.

Nev probably got a after market Chinese battery put in. Which is fine but that's why it was cheap. SE Asia gets the best knock off stuff that there is.

I wish they made real phones still. Like my 2011 HTC. Aluminum chassis, held together with screws. Not 2 slabs of glass glued together. You could take apart phones and actually repair them without it being an art.

According to the spec sheet, my A35 has a better battery than the S-21.

I can't find the official receipt at the moment but I've found a hand-written quote that I was given before the work was done.

Battery 1000 baht (Samsung original), service charge 535 baht. I had a new phone back cover and camera lens prism fitted too. It took them about 2 hours for them to do it all.

I was happy with the work they did but they had to order the parts first, which took a few days to come. They contacted me to tell me when the parts were in the service centre so I could just go in and get them fitted.

If you’re in the market for an inexpensive Android phone with 5G, Samsung has your back with the Galaxy A32 5G ($279.99). Excellent battery life, solid performance, and years of promised Android upgrades and security updates mean this inexpensive phone should keep you happy for a long time. A low-resolution display aside, there’s very little to dislike about the Galaxy A32 5G; it's an excellent value and a winner of our Editors’ Choice award for budget-friendly 5G phones.

    Looks alright Socal

Yep. A cheap Chinese copy would be less than half that.
