LOL, I think that's my brother in law in the background with the pool cue and that's not his wife at the table....
^
I just checked, I have a few pics of that night, unfortunately that is the only one your possible BIL appears in.
Nice, catch any wild salmon?
Yes, anyone can drop a pot.
To fish yes you need a license but not to crab.
Maybe? We are the heart of Dungeness crab after Alaska. California is an outlier when it comes to Dungy. I do not think you can even go for Dungy in California because the water is too warm.
Dungeness is the best crab in the world, even better than King.
Burning eyeballs on a cloudy Chanthaburi afternoon, this was previously known as the pink building, recent repaint to hot pink
Maybe it didn't appear so bright on the colour chart

^^ The color of ill repute in parts of China.
Seasonal change here in UB
What are the temperatures in UB like right now? I presume quite warm.
This week we are sat for a bit of a heat wave from Wednesday, will be 28 Celsius of Friday- I wholly approve of beer garden friendly weather on a Friday.
6 Sept 2022. Now beyond restoration, the former British navy WWII Algerine-class minesweeper HMS Minstrel (later HTMS Phosamton) is settled in to the bed of the Chanthaburi river at Samet Ngam, Towed here in 2012 as a museum/tourist feature, that's no longer an option. In 2018 the navy visited, considered towing it out to sea and sinking as a dive/artificial reef. That won't happen either.

mostly tomato soup. I like to make soups at home. It's a good way to use up veg in the fridge.
Sweat down some onion, shallot and garlic with a splug of olive oil. Throw in some chopped celery and some bell peppers. Lid on at low heat for a few minutes. Then pour in half a bottle of white wine. Turn up heat and reduce down to a thin syrup texture. Squirt in some tomato puree. Stir in and add tomatos. Lots of them. Ideally the cherry ones. Sweat that for a bit on low with lid on. Pour on veggie stock, a couple of bay leaves and the stems from the tomatoes. Bring to boil them leave to summer for an hour Lid off if you've added too much stock. Fish out the bay and tomato stems. Blend using a hand blender.
This one was great with some cheese on toast for a light dinner.
