The Gooose That Laid The Golden Egg

I can't understand the thinking of some Thai ladies. Now I am going to say right now that not all are like what I am going to talk about.

I hear many, many stories about Thai ladies killing the Goose that lays the golden egg. It is beyond me that they do not have any vision at all. The most recent story I heard was from a 39 year old Thai lady that has met a 52 year old man from California. She tells the missus that they are getting married but having some problems. The wife asks about what and the lady tells her that its about money.....go figure .

It seems that she thinks quite highly of herself and I do not know why. She is 37, does not speak a word of English and in my opinion she is not pretty at all. But she is an almighty Thai govt worker and educated .

The man is upset with her because of some conditions that she has laid down. He is going to move here in December and build a monument....uhhh I mean a house. She can't understand what the problem is. All she wants is 600,000 baht for her, 250,000 baht for the wedding and party and 150,000 for a VERY small parcel of land that she is going to buy from mama and papa for a new home for her and her new hubby. She wants to obtain a loan to build their house and has asked him to deposit 300,000 baht in her account so the bank sees that she has the down payment.

After I heard all that, I new exactly why the guy was upset. Instead of all that expense and opening up the flood gates on the farangs bank accounts, couldn't Thai ladies just be happy with the better life and a few extra baht here and there for the family.

You do not choke the goose to death to get it to lay more golden eggs. You just get an egg every day.

You do not cut the udders off a cow to get more milk; you pull gently on the cows nips and get some milk every day.

Finally, I hear the statement that is like nails on a chalk board to me................He (the boyfriend) just does not understand Thai culture.
