Seams a shame to throw them away when a temple was made out of bottles in Thailand, maybe an ambitious plan but I'm open to suggestions.

Thailand’s Buddhist Temple Built Of Beer Bottles
…try saying that after several drinks. Over one million beer bottles have gone into the building of Wat Pa Maha Chedi Kaew, a masterpiece of recycling art and fully functioning Buddhist temple in Thailand’s Sisaket province.
One of the things I love about living in Thailand is that it is a country which constantly surprises me. To be sure, reading the newspaper every day means that’s often unpleasant rather than pleasant surprises, but every so often something crops up that makes me grin. Wat Pa Maha Chedi Kaew is one of those things, a Buddhist temple in Thailand’s Sisaket province, which has been built using one million recycled beer bottles. Hard to imagine someone coming up with the idea, let alone putting it into action.

When I had this problem I made a pair of musical shakers.
I drilled a hole on a load, threaded them on a length of wire and attached it to either end of a wooden handle.
A bit like this...

A beer bottle cap table of course. They're sold online in the states for hundreds of dollars.

I love it, your post brings back memories.
when I was a kid, I had the worlds largest battle cup collection.
By the train station there was a a small kiosk that sold newspapers, cigarettes' and sodas. People would buy a soda while waiting for the train, especially in the summer, and discard the cups.
We would collect the bottle cups , place them on the train track and wait for the train to come by to flatten them. I must have had hundreds, it was a competition with the kids who had the most, and we trade them for brands we did not have. We could not had been more than seven or eight years old,
Those were different times when the kids played in the streets.
I wonder what ever happened to my collection.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
As a child I went into a country gasoline station/drink stand which had soda bottle caps pushed into the dirt for a floor. No one else in my family remembers seeing it. Made quite an impression on me.
Looks as though you have to collect a few more for that, though, Joe.![]()
Harsh but fair Ciz.
