    I used to drive across that bridge twice a day in the early 70s when I was working at a place on Pibulsongkram Road in Nonthaburi. When the traffic was slow moving in the morning, I would often come across a BMW going in the opposite direction driven by a reasonably famous TV star/singer called Sangthong Seesai. If time permitted, he would wind down his window and point a pistol at me and give me the old "farang, farang" business. I thought he was a harmless ratbag but sometime after that he went to prison. I believe it was something to do with throwing a hand grenade into his audience at a concert, so I guess he was potentially volatile.

    He was very easy to recognise:

    Thank you for sharing your interesting story.

    You have resided in Thailand for a very long time.

    Sungtong was very well known at that time. He was a very famous performer like you said well, partly from his look. However, he had a quite beautiful wife. His breakthrough was from the movie "Tone"

    <font size="4">

    and here is his story if you care to know more...

    Anyway, I checked but found the text being kind of mistaken.

    From what said in the news was Sungtong was trying to control the chaos caused by his fans at a concert when his team came rather late. He apologized saying that one of his buses had broken down. The concert continued smoothly until around midnight when some of his fans getting drunk began the turmoil by throwing glasses, bottles and etc. up on the stage show (this term??) and followed by several gun fires.

    When the polices came to the scene, Sungtong was arrested causing murders. He had served time for 4 years and 7 months.

    Anyway, the news said. I don't know what the truth said.

    Thank you again. I hope you like my thread.

    Ps. I like what you wrote .. '
    He's the one on the left'. Those two have to look alike.
