Haha, nice. Well partly that yes, but also that it is sweet to see this rainbow of hope going viral. I'm only posting news articles and pics of rainbows both around the world and the one I did with my niece. Not sure why people always have issues with things I post.

Tell ya one thing MM is giving Toots a run for his money in posting speed. She has 30+ posts in 2 hours this morning. A whole new meaning to quantity over quality.. It's the middle of the night in the Toronto area as well.

I think it's therapy for MM. She's posted 32 posts in just over 2 hours so hopefully she'll feel better soon.

I've got to honest ... all this Rainbow drawing is just bullshite.

Who draws a Rainbow? Maybe someone under the age of ten?

Do you really think that the majority of 9 year olds have the slightest concept of a Global Pandemic?
Of course you will say yes ... but it's not the reality.

Doing the Rainbow drawing en-masse is simply catering to the Parents idea of what should be happening.
The Parent/Teacher is stressed and assumes the kid is stressed also.
Is the kid happy to draw the Rainbow ... sure.
Does the kid drawing the Rainbow and have a common bond with another kid who also drew one ... probably.
Does the kid have any idea of the 'world wide movement' the Parent/Teacher has artificially imposed .. NFI

Something to hang from the window and take a photo and share it with friends on Social Media ... ditto the current 'Bear in the Window' craze.
    ... it's all BS.

Sort of like taking a photo of your Kid wearing an expensive YSL Polo Shirt.
The kid really wants a Ben10 shirt or a Dinosaur T-Shirt or a Hello Kitty dress, but Mum dresses him in the YSL shirt for the photo op ... it's all BS.

Bit different the 8 O'Clock clapping thing ... that's the real deal.

    MM
, I'm not having a pop at you, but there is a different perspective to the one you espouse.
Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

Agreed, when my loved ones are laying on a makeshift bed, wheezing and dying because of a lack of ventilators, some fucking chalk colour rainbows drawn by some retard aint gonna make me feel better.

^^Hey, you are allowed your opinion. It has gone viral around the world, I think it is very sweet and it gives kid's some hope. To each their own, if you don't like it don't read it or make rainbows. Chitty made some great ones with his kids.

Well, thanks you for allowing me to have an opinion!

It has gone viral around the world
Well, so has the Corona Virus and that's not working out so well.

    it gives kid's some hope
'Kids' don't need hope ... the Parents do

Chitty made some great ones with his kids
Chitty is fallen into the trap of pushing his insecurities onto his kids.

    IMHO

My Kids? ... they are getting busy for Easter and subtly asked why the Easter Bunny doesn't leave the eggs in the Garden and not just the Lounge-Room

My third graders just make memes about COVID-19. Certainly cheeky, some pretty damn funny, but not really heartwarming.

It’s “viral” in Montreal pre-school. That’s all that matters.

Children have a short attention span. They need to be entertained. Millions of grown ups don’t understand the issue. How do rainbows help educate tiny minds?

A few kids might be bright enough to understand a global pandemic, if it is explained to them in simple terms they might understand. Drawing rainbows is nothing to do with hope. It’s about keeping their young minds occupied with harmless nonsense.
