Gawdamnit bloody forum bug.
That was a gif of a bastard magpie attacking someone... Which actually also describes that old wanker too.
^You need to dress down more.
KW will be pleased to know supplies have been secured. Got there 1/2 hour before opening when NHS & Essential workers are allowed in and was 10th in the plebs queue. A store chap walked around at 10 to 8 reiterating that NHS etc could go in but added care workers to the list and its amazing how many in the back end of the queue of c70+ by that time found they were indeed care workers. I have no doubt there were some but there are cohort of low rent scum in this country who would climb over their grannies to get ahead.
The good news is that as temp is climbing it is officially Gin & Tonic time and so with 3 litres secured Ron's prophecy of me getting caned by 1-2pm may well come to pass after garden chores, washing and speaking to the family etc have been crossed off the list. Who knows i may even resolve how to regain proper picture sizes and make another club member happy Lom.
Del Diablo, that wine name got it right, it's going to be El Diablo in your guts
Filling up on gas for 16 baht a liter is something we could get used to.
If only we were allowed go out for a drive.
$1.31 a gallon here. Unbelievable. No where to go.
Apologies for any confusion caused by my post Katie. I am aware of the historic reasons for daily purchase of fresh foods. Even the fact that some households do have refrigerators, doesn’t stop the daily shopping culture. It’s also a key social component for many people.
Regarding poverty, it’s one of the main reasons I found it difficult to settle there. Children in rags begging, hands out,
at every 7/11 is not pleasant. It has nothing to do with comparative wealth, it’s just very unsettling for this foreigner.
I could not, in good conscience live there, and take advantage of such government apathy. I was aware of the very poor side of life there, but could not face such deprivation on a daily basis. It’s too big a problem, and I can’t do much about it anyway.
Roi Et city closed down as of today. No one get's in unless an emergency. See on Thai news near all Changwat capital cities also shut down.
Lucky we made a Makro run yesterday.
Folks here in Thailand are sick and dying and you guys want to discuss your wine preferences. Take it over here.

^^ Not bad, did you enter other provinces without problem? We have extended family in Nakon Phanom province but have been advised not to go and visit. My private hospital is in Udon and again, we have been advised not to travel there. It doesn't mean we can't and I can have a Dr certificate if required. It is just advisory. Since we don't need to go anywhere we don't. Keeping ourselves to ourselves with as little outside contact as possible.
I'd have thought you'd be doing the same Nev, or is there a need to travel for work?
Yes, I did. No need to stop at all. There were cones on the road as I crossed provinces but cops standing at the side of the road did not stop anybody. Tbh, there were far too many cars on the road to be stopping cars and taking the temperature of people in the cars. There'd have been a tailback for miles.
