    Happy Thanksgiving!

It is officially Turkey day. Over in LOS I imagine some are tucking in to a nice spread and some are already loosening their belts. My mom and my Aunt were always the two dependable ladies in my family to crank out a delicious spread but my mom as many know has alzheimers and is no longer allowed anywhere close to the kitchen and my Aunt had a recent health scare herself. People are getting old and that is life. That said I went over to my Aunts tonight with my little lady and we prepped all the dishes for tomorrow. So she will only have to plop the fat bird in the oven in the morning. Then the lady and I will show up in the early afternoon and take care of the rest.

Here is a pic of last years turkey...

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Seppo friends here (no native Americans here, I presume, as that wouldn't apply)

Its 5am here in California. My Mom hoped up early to pull the 25lb bird out of the Fridge.

My Dad and I will drop the bird in the oven about 10am after the stuffing is packed in. Should be done around 3pm.

In the mean time we will eat a myriad of chips and dips and drink watching NFL.

Of course after dinner is the expected food Coma.

Happy Thanksgiving to you folks in LOS. Ours here is about to kick off.

Perfect and because of my shit schedule my Aunt is pushing dinner back to 5pm.

I spent all day up there (and I do mean up there she lives in house atop a hill that looks over the cascade mountain range)

    Everything is done.

The football games look like shit but I will root for the Bills.

There was discussion about all of us going to my Uncles Pad. He lives in Anderson Valley and from his deck you can see Mt Lassen, Mt Shasta and the Trinity Alps as they are called. They all just got dusted with a lot of snow.

I always like to go because I can shoot my guns he is holding for me.

    Merca and our guns.

Fucking lovely. From my Aunts we can see Mt Baker, Glacier peak (no one calls it a mountain even though it is I don't know why) and the entire cascade range and if we cheat and step on the side deck we can see Mt Rainier.

I do love and hate both aspects of that.

Fucking hard for me to understand why you guys are able to leave the west coast. It is really unmatched on so many levels. The great wide open and our public lands.

Actually Snubs. I came over to transfer Ops and just sort of ended up staying. No argument from me on the beauty and landscape of the Pacific Northwest.. The people... well that's an entirely different story and course COL (especially in California).

At this juncture I live the best of both worlds. I travel back and forth so it keeps fun. Would I ever move back.... I doubt it. I prefer visiting. I have it way easy in Thailand and my US colleagues and friends work relentlessly to keep up with their big debt. Me on the other hand, work for fun.

Happy turkey day yall. We drove down to Hermitage Tennessee for a field day. Took the drone to visit her kids. Crazy nice weather. I saw girls in shorts out and about in Nashville the other day.
A cooking frenzy in the kitchen right now. I'll see If I can get a pic or too in.

Again happy holidays, I'm off to fly the drone. And have a beer or three.

    Cheers, the ......
