Am I Doomed?

For the last few weeks we've had a bedraggled black pigeon roost on our gate pillar occasionally. The wife and I worry that one day we'll be greeted with a pile of feathers as our mooban is teeming with cats.

It's been gone for the last couple of days, but it's back tonight. I noticed it as I came out the door of the house and it didn't even move when I opened the gate.

I thought I'd share some bread with it and walked right up to it and shredded some bread right at its feet...again, nary a movement. The bird was in Valhalla communing with the gods.



Are the Gods trying to send me a message?
