75 years ago today Garazier Fasson and 16 year old kitchen boy Tommy risked their lives to rescue the enigma breaking codes from a sinking U boat.

Their heroism formed the basis for loose adaption of Harris' yarn by Apted and Jaggersmovie Enigma and the Bletchley cipher breakthrough.
