While not quite 1952, most people probably aren't aware that flights today are longer than they were 40 years ago.

An actor meets newly weds on an airplane, invites them to share his pool and house in Beverly Hills with his wife while showing them around.

And not a hint of foursome.

It was a long journey. NYC/ Nova Scotia/Gander Newfoundland/Shannon Ireland/then into London. That Aramco plane had bunks by Pullman above the seats for mom and a child, while dads slept in the seats below.

Flights in the 50,s where longer in flying time because the planes where so slow and they had to stop to refuel over shorter distances.
Today you can fly from Sydney to Amsterdam in one flight.
