...a friend who bought 2 condos (and joined them) in this interesting building was invited to an open house event to view the Ritz-Carlton serviced condos and the showrooms set aside for the private condos. He invited several of us to go along on the tour...in a word, it was impressive. As expected, the views from the floor-to-ceiling windows on the higher floors were dramatic in monsoon weather though the city buildings, ugly and unimaginatively designed as most of them are, as well as the muddy river, were less interesting in daylight...BKK from on high is far prettier at night.
Also as expected, the showrooms were nicely decorated, but if you've been to new condo building showrooms in bkk, you'll recognize the style. Generally speaking, far too much marble (except in the maids' rooms), though the areas that had parquet floor tiles appeared more inviting. The pool, fitness and outdoor areas on the 7th floor are beautiful and enhance the aura of exclusivity. The "rest" area on 54 is actually a lobby for the serviced condos and is staffed and provisioned by Dean and DeLuca from The Cube next door. My friend's joined condo (ready in early 2018) is on a corner of the 65th floor. I estimate he and his partner paid between USD6-8 million for approximately 390 sqm of heaven.
So, a glimpse of how the other half intends to live.
