Isaan feast? Dog owner accuses neighbor of butchering, eating his pet

A heartbroken dog owner in the northeast province of Kalasin filed a police report yesterday, accusing his neighbor of shooting and eating his sweet white dog “Nomkon” (condensed milk).

Yongyod Sripramai, 20, said he always took his two-year-old pooch everywhere, even when he was out farming. On Saturday, he let Nomkon run around the field, but then the dog went missing and he heard a gunshot at about 3pm.

To his terror, Yongyod found a pig farm nearby. Inside the barn, he saw white dog fur scattered all over the place, accompanied by the smell of fresh blood.

According to Yongyod, the pig farm was owned by another village man, Tawee Luapol, 54, who told Yongyud honestly that he shot Nomkon and ate the dog’s meat with his family because the dog killed two of his pigs. Yongyud secretly filmed Tawee’s confession, which he gave to the police.

Police went to Tawee’s home and found a scene that matched Yongyod’s description.

According to police, Tawee confessed to shooting the dog “as an act of defense to his property,” but the pooch got away, adding he had no intention to eat it.

Police found the two carcasses of Tawee’s pigs. Tawee has been charged for illegal possession of firearms. The killing of Nomkon, however, will be examined for further evidence, under animal welfare legislation.

It is not yet clear if the dog died and if, in fact, the pig farmer ate the dog’s remains

It's not that SE it's just that I've witnessed our Thai neighbour in front of me give our pet dog to Cambodian workers for part of the day's payment for working for her.
So it's like, that's how things are here, our neighbour got away with it, and I knew it would be futile to change things, already the neighbour when drunk tells everyone that she's going to kill me.
    It's Thailand mate.

eating his sweet white dog “Nomkon” (condensed milk).
Naming his dog after something so delicious-sounding probably didn't help.

Especially to a rural pig-farmer. Speaking of which, how come there were any remains of "Nomkon" for the police to find afterwards?

Thais are simply amateurs up against those fookers.

Well nobody in the village actually likes her, but they all smile and pander to her nastiness, the villagers trust in Karma and believe that one day justice by natural means will punish her.
The reason the mad bitch goes off is that she thinks she's special because her sister lives in England and sends her money.
When she doesn't get what she wants from sister, she blames me, apparently I tell the sister husband not send money.
I never speak to the couple in the U.K. But that doesn't stop Thai madness. ( similar symptoms are seen in some Farang on here)

It's really all in the pastry.

Now I don't know if I've mentioned Tommo's Pies in Darwin but the pastry is perfect.
His wife doesn't do much but the pies are sublime.

    Pastry puppies, perfect.

He defends his property from a dog killing his pigs (his livelihood) which were on his property at the time and gets prosecuted for it.

Something wrong here, the dog owner should be prosecuted for owning a dog that has killed someones livestock and charged for the cost of the dead pigs and the dog put down before it can do more damage, if its not dead already.

Don't mind telling you the story Hick, I had just arrived in the family home after landing at the airport and the pick up truck drive . So I sit in the living room, reading the Bangkok Post newspaper, when every no glass window frame is filled by a Kambochiye FACE staring in at Me.
Four Cambodian men silently staring at Me, so I stopped reading the paper thinking this is a bit odd. So I called Mary from the Kitchen and asked " Why are these Cambodians fkn staring at Me?"
She whispered in My ear, " They look for dog, dog in bathroom "
Now I'm trying to make sense of this, our farm dog who never comes into the house is so bloody frightened that he's done the unthinkable and entered the house and is hiding in the bathroom.
Just then the neighbours teenage son barges in and goes and gets our dog and gives it to the Cambodians who slip him into a hessian sack, plonk sack on bicycle alongside rice wages sack and they wheel a silent live dog out of the village.
The dog never made a sound, my jaw dropped, I couldn't believe what I had just seen.
I couldn't speak the language and I'm a newbie in a strange land.
