29 May 2017 • 5:37pm Tiger Woods, the former world no.1 golfer, was arrested early on Monday morning on charges of driving under the influence, police have said.
Woods was taken into custody at around 7.18am local time near Jupiter Island, close to where he lives.
Records show he was then released at 10.30am. A mugshot has also been released showing the 41-year-old looking tired and unshaven.
It comes as Woods struggles to regain the form that made him a 14-time major winner. Last month, he confirmed he would be undergoing back surgery having not played since withdrawing from the Dubai Desert Classic at the start of February due to back spasms.

Golf star Tiger Woods says alcohol was "not involved" in his arrest while driving in Florida early on Monday.
The player, who was charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI), blamed "an unexpected reaction to prescribed medication".
"I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions," he said.
Police released a mugshot of Woods, looking unshaven and unkempt, following his arrest in the town of Jupiter.
"I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications," he said.
"I didn't realise the mix of medications had affected me so strongly."
Police in Palm Beach County said the 41-year-old golfer was pulled over at about 03:00 local time (07:00 GMT). He was later charged and then released.
The police record says that he was released "on his own recognisance", meaning he promised in writing to co-operate with future legal proceedings.

Sounds about right. Got a friend who had a serious car accident here that required a series of spinal operations.
