    English (Pommy) Grub

    Members
I admit defeat regarding copy & paste pics as I do to Photobucket.
Pommy grub is not cuisine in my opinion but plenty of people have a penchant for it.
Pie & chips, chip butties & other assorted 'food.'
Thank you for the assistance regarding the threads.

Since when? In 53 years of living in the UK I never heard the word 'butties' uttered by anyone. 'Sarnies' yes.

Don't be a total ding-a-ling. I was born in the Land Down Under.
Things have changed. Melbourne has the largest Greek population outside of Athens.
Vietnamese now hold a big chunk of real estate outside of Sydney.
Without the influx of Europeans, Oz would be a backward country.
Take a look at Australia's Rich List.

I was married to a Pom. I need say no more.
BTW, POM was derived from 'Prisoner of His Majesty.'

Then there was the 10 pound Pom program.

FYI, as a child I lived on offal. My favorite dish was brains on toast.
If I was hungry, bread & gravy was what was provided to fill us up.
Chicken was a once a year meal - Xmas.

    Thank you, Chico.
Coming home from school on a Friday afternoon after cricket, we walked several miles rather than catch a tram. For the threepence saved, one could buy a heap of potato chips. Potato scallops were a bit expensive.

Chico rolls bring back memories too.
