A video of a Thai soldier breaking into his wife’s place of work and attacking her workmates has gone viral across Thai Social Media.

At around 2.50pm, on the afternoon of Jan 5, the clip shows the man wearing a military uniform punching a hole in the office door and breaking in. He then runs to the second floor and attacked employees.

One of them, a woman, tries to step in and calm the man down but fails to do so. He is only stopped when other soldiers and police officers arrived to arrest him.

The company has been identified as a loans firm in Burinam and the thirty-six year old assailant has been confirmed as a member of the military and his wife, named only as Kanyarat, is a clerk in the company.

Sources revealed the reason for the attack is jealousy as the man believes his wife is having sex with work colleagues.

However, the suspect has told arresting officers the reason for his assault is that male workers at the company have been teasing, bullying and upsetting his wife.
