Music you thought was cool as a teenager but can no longer ignore its shitness

By this I mean music you rated for an extended period rather than liking for a week age 11 but its shitness soon became self evident e.g. "las ketchup". For me I'd have to say Ice-T. This West Coast "Gangsta" rapper his music is shite and his -thinking man's gangsta stylings are undeniably crap and Straight Up Nigga status is bizaare for a near white skinned quatroon (yes that's a real word, 4 years of Public School and Russell Group graduate aren't wasted)

When I was 11 that kind of music hadn't even been invented yet.
The Jackson 5 where the rappers of my day's.

With mescalin and absinthe this is almost bearable, I've put away mildish things, it's too slow with crack and yabba.
I'd thought sodomy and hillbillys were in movies then I came here.

You were approaching puberty in the'70s? Has the counciling eased the night-terrors? Were you one of the Broadcasting House Joy Division?

I'm surprised now at the maturity of my musical tastes as a teen. I never liked any 'fad' music. Two of my favourite acts were Todd Rundgren and Little Feat.

This is supposed to be about music you once thought of as cool at age 11 and then later it started to sound uncool.
It's not about how cool your are in your music choices.

I did post on here regularly a decade or so ago-I'm not using the nickname for artistic reasons-I resolved this issue with a nice chap who moderates/owns/publishes/washes dishes of the forum. I'm not smeg/dr patpong/it manager or whoever your pathology dictates you harass new posters for being.

No me mind said "quat"roon like in a quarter. But its "quadroon" like "the freshers stoned the soothsayer on the 2nd quad" Reading History Today as a lad and cheap methamphetamines will get you this kind of recall (and a 2:2 from The London School of Economics &#128514

Congrats on getting a Desmond from LSE and inserting a quadroon.

Some regard it as an anachronistic term, however lets not start a playground quad wrangle.

Do you have any achieviments in the educational sphere, many would love to learn, the odd anecdote always ripper

Err hence the history 'zine reference I was't trying to form somekind of pseudo-intellectual troll tag that's textbook smeg...Hence my making this observation public is in a way textbook smeg...Ahh I can see the dilema (my dubious technographic abilities are again an obvious trope of the like smeg regularly employs.... I saw DJ Pat posting on TD ABOUT six in da' mornintime and thought oww yeahy he'll read this thread and get all frantic about coming to term with Ice-T being fookin' uncool. I have trouble recalling my vague address but have carried the kboledge that DjPat did and almost certainly does think Ice-T is a masterclass genius.

    Nah ... not my style.

Live and let live I say.

Have been around Forums a while now and genuinely only came across one prick, and he's not on the Teak Door.

The discussion here maybe robust at times, but it's fairly honest from what I've observed.
